Ho hum, it looks like Logos is
definitely split. Drei is going off on his own, with Eins and Zwei
to back him up, while Vier seems to be remaining loyal to Aria by
stopping Drei from killing Tamaki.
It was somewhat subtle, but with Vier
revealing herself to be Fiona all along – surprise, surprise! –
it also seems like Yuiichi's suspicions about Shinji have been
peaked. Shinji certainly seemed like the one who was least surprised
by Vier's identity and his response to Suguru about not finding the
location of Logos was fairly fishy. This is at least the third time
they've mentioned it and still there's no news.
And seriously, if the grandmother knows
something, she needs to spit it out. The Artifacts are in danger and
Tamaki is trying her hardest, bust she refuses to meet with her? I
don't understand. I was hoping it wouldn't be one of those “she
had to learn for herself” situation, and luckily, it seems like it
won't be. Even though Tamaki might think it is, enough hints were
thrown in to show that the situation is much more than it seems. My
guess is that the seals are weakening, but Tamaki's grandmother isn't
ready to let Tamaki take over yet, and instead intends on making her
some sort of sacrifice. I could be wrong, but the grandmother has
not given me any reason to trust her!
Sadly, I've been more and more
disappointed with the animation. They obviously threw a lot of work
(and money) into animating the mountain god, but in the process the
quality of the characters' faces have really gone downhill. And I'm
still not a fan of the pacing. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I
feel like it's very uneven. They keep dragging along certain things
while having some other things move too quickly and surprises pop up
out of nowhere. Logos now has three of the Artifacts, but Tamaki
still doesn't know anything. Ryou is obviously an important part of
the show, but who is he? Drei all of the sudden attacks Tamaki, but
why and who the heck is Sibyl? And the newest mystery is the mark on
Takuma's hand. I wish they would just answer some of those questions
and move on, rather than dragging out all the mysteries!
