Even goldfish love Io!
Sorry for the late post - life, as usual, got in the way.
Ah, I remember summer homework and how much it I hated it! I also remember summer vacation too and how much fun it was to have nothing to do and to get to hang out with friends. Oh, adult life. Anyways, since it was too hot at Tsumiki's place, the girls trek over to Io's to find Sakaki there also trying to finish his homework. Of course, hijinks ensue when Io first sleepily mistakes Mayoi for someone else, then when Mayoi and Sakaki keep trying to do their homework while being distracted, and the grand finale when Mayoi suggests drawing a kiss on Io - which Tsumiki misunderstands to kissing Io with lipstick on. Embarrassed Tsumiki is a cute Tsumiki!
Then it's off to the summer festival, where we find out that Io is an excellent carver and attracts goldfish like he attracts everything else. Big surprise there - although I did laugh as the goldfish began jumping into his dish voluntarily, especially since Tsumiki had the opposite effect (meow!). The shooting game had me giggling all the way through too. Hime was just too adorable as Mayoi and Sakaki kept teasing her about shooting a hole in one of the stuffed animals. Then there was Tsumiki watching everyone else shoot and win prizes, and looking at Io like he was a prize - and actually shooting at him! Gaw, Tsumiki, why are you so adorable?? But the ending was especially sweet as Io gets Sakaki to team up with him to win Tsumiki the giant stuffed bird. This show never fails to put me in a good mood, make me giggle, and go "awwww!".
