Hiiro no Kakera - 05

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the grandmother.  She's too cryptic for my liking - why not help Tamaki along instead of telling her bits and pieces of the puzzle?

Even though it was obvious from the beginning that the group Logos was after the Onikirimaru, it wasn't until this episode that they made it clear that they were after it because they believe that the Tamayori princess is weak and not capable of guarding it.  As the mysterious man at the ending mentioned, it now seems like there are two groups - the Tamayori princess and her guardians, and the Logos group - who are battling over the right to seal or use the Onikirimaru.

Besides that small revelation at the end, this episode was riddled with questions once more.  They haven't really explained who or what the group Logos is, and why they believe Aria to be the incarnation of holy Monado (and for that matter, who the heck is Monado?).  And why did Aria call Tamaki Sybil?  And lastly, who was that guy that appeared out of nowhere to sniff Tamaki?  He calls her grandmother a hag and tells Tamaki that she smells differently, which is evidently a good thing.  The big question there is why does it seem like he hates Tamaki's grandmother?  And who is he and how does he fit into the whole picture?

While I like that Tamaki is maintaining a positive attitude and trying to awaken her power herself, I'm not quite sure how she intends to do that.  Sitting in a room with her arm held out doesn't seem to be doing anything.  However, I had to admire her for standing up to Aria.  Her reasoning was sound for why they aren't just going to blithely hand over the Onikirimaru was sound.  However, I feel like there are still missing pieces to the puzzle that Tamaki doesn't know, and it's not as white and black as it seems.
