For a show that had quite a bit of potential despite it's silly Unions, the ending was a bit of a let down.
First, Kagura just lets Amata have Mikono after a whole 26 episodes of fighting with him for her? That's a bit of a cop out. I was expecting Kagura and Amata to merge into one again - that would have made more sense. Second, Fudo was the reincarnation of Apollonius all this time? Even though I never watched the original Aquarion, I'm not really quite sure why they threw this twist in. Why did Amata, Kagura, and Apollo have to be the reincarnation of Apollonius's dog? Why couldn't they have been Apollonius? Third, what about Cayenne's dark vision of Mikono marrying Kagura? Nothing like that came remotely close to happening And lastly, what happened in the aftermath? Is Altair still there? Was there a new world formed? And most importantly, how did Mix get her Big Bangs back?!
I'm disappointed. I was enjoying it until the show fizzled in the middle, right around when they killed Jin off.
