It's a double feature, with culture festivals and Christmas all wrapped up in one!
Acchi Kocchi - 09
The group decides to make a crepe station for their culture festival as Mayoi breaks out into her mad scientist routine with a mechanism to lock onto potential customers and Io makes a super cute costume for Tsumiki. I thought that the laughs were a bit lacking in this episode, but it made up for by having Tsumiki be cuter than usual in her costume and some really tender moments between her and Io. You've also got everyone out of their usual clothing, with Hime and Mayoi in "New Bride" costumes and Sakaki and Io in their Sexy Suits.
Acchi Kocchi - 10
It's back to winter! You've got Mayoi up to her usual pranks as she dons a bear suit complete with a mask and tries to scare her friends. The only one it really worked on was Hime, which was no surprise. It might have worked on Sakaki, except they both got injured, which was also no surprise. What was a surprise was to finally see the character in the opening song who has a bag over his head - it's Sakaki all along, in "costume" to scare their teacher, which works amazingly well (poor teacher!) The Christmas part of the episode was really cute too, as Tsumiki once again puts on a costume that's too big for her. The best part was the ending though, as Io and Tsumiki share a white Christmas by themselves.
