Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead - First Impressions

I forgot just how ridiculous this anime can be.

The first episode was a nice re-introduction to the characters.  We've got the main trio: Eu, the necromancer that brought Ayumu back, Haruna, the Mahou Shoujo who lost her powers to Ayumu, and Seraphim, vampire ninja who is serving Eu and whom Ayumu disgusts.  Then there's Yuki, Ayumu's "wife" and Sarasvati.  We seem to have acquired a new girl, a drinker who Ayumu thinks is imaginary, and there's also a bigger part for the class rep of Ayumu's class, Hiramatsu.

There wasn't much plot to go with the episode, other than the Megalo showing up because he smelled a Mahou Shoujo in the area and Ayumu having to kick butt.  Of course, I found it hilarious that all everyone could think about was Ayumu cross dressing, rather than the fact that there's a giant squid monster on their high school campus that had taken Hiramatsu hostage.  However, the big thing was that Mystletainn, Haruna's chainsaw, has broken and therefore (I'm assuming) unable to do any Mahou Shoujo transformations or incantations (like erasing everyone's memory...sorry Ayumu).

I don't remember a whole lot about the first season, other than it was incredibly ridiculous and silly, but fun as well.  I do remember not being too impressed with the ending, but enjoying it anyway.  I'm looking forward to a fun season, as well as seeing more Eu!
