That was one of the most disjointed episodes I've seen in a while from any anime.
You've got both the choir club and the badminton club being disbanded from lack of members, Wakana bumping into a strange man with a pet pig who obviously recognizes her as her mother's daughter, then Sawa and Konatsu tricking Taichi and Wien into joining the "Choir and Sometimes Badminton Club" which almost gets rejected by the vice principal (she's so heartless!), and then auditioning to sing at the beach house for the summer contest. I'm not sure where P.A. Works is going, but the pacing was all off. There's obviously the big secret that has to do with Wakana's mother, effecting both how Wakana and the vice principal act, and then there's Konatsu who's trying so hard to keep singing. And then there's Taichi who wants to go pro in badminton, and seems to have a good chance at it as well. I'm also not sure where the beginning flashbacks of each of the characters fit into everything. It seems like they're trying to do too much with this anime and unfortunately falling short of their goal.
At any rate, I like how they've changed the ending song to show the guys joining the group, with Wakana just a little bit closer. Next week seems to be a Sawa episode (yay!), although I have to wonder who she's calling a jerk in the preview.
