Accel World - 13

And the new arc starts with Chiyu joining Accel World as Lime Bell!


It's soon revealed that her special ability isn't an attack, but instead a healing power, making her only one of two players with that ability.  The other player is one of the Kings, but Haru doesn't know which one since Hime refused to tell him.  She's a bit possessive, but such a smooth talker too that I'll forgive her for it!  It's interesting to note that Hime tells Haru that healing abilities are indicators of strength, so I have to wonder what Chiyu has gone through to gain such a rare ability.  Everyone is in agreement that her abilities should be kept secret for as long as possible; once word gets out, there may be lots of battles to win her over.  While Chiyu is in Hime's legion now, I have a feeling that will soon change.  Even though she wants to keep Taku and Haru with her, it seems like the tension between her and Hime might escalate to the point of her leaving for another legion, especially if she sees Hime as a threat to her friendships.

The rest of the episode introduced a mysterious new transfer student who beats Taku in a kendo match.  It seems like he's a Brain Burster, but Haru doesn't find any trace of him when he enters Accel World.  With Hime leaving for a school trip over the weekend, it's up to Haru and Taku to defend their legion, and it seems like more than coincidence that this guy has shown up now of all times.  I've heard this arc is very aggravating, and I hope that doesn't mean Chiyu will be partnering up with this guy.  He seems unbelievably smug!
