Accel World - 12

The battle this week was pretty intense, especially with Scarlet Rain's betrayal and the revelation that Cherry Rook, before becoming Chrome Disaster, was Scarlet Rain's guardian.

The initial battle between Chrome Disaster and Black Lotus was unfortunately cut short by Scarlet Rain's betrayal.  I thought it was well done though how Black Lotus was able to see through Scarlet Rain's fears and insecurities to know that she really needed Silver Crow.  I also enjoyed how Niko has now been added as a member to Haru's group for the moment.  She's adorably cute when she wants to be!  And Haru's tears at the end were very touching.  It shows just how much he cares about her and how happy he is that they're friends.  I'm excited to see how Accel World will affect their friendship. 

The red dot on the back of Silver Crow's armor worries me though.  I don't read the manga or the light novels, so I don't know how far they've gotten plotwise, but I have to assume that the dot is the latest incarnation of the Armor of Catastrophe that buried itself into Silver Crow's armor, and that he's the next victim.  Will they even get far enough into the anime to animate this, or does this mean that there might be an anime original ending in store for us?  Hmmm...

The end of Chrome Disaster brings about the end of this arc halfway through the series.  With the next episode, we'll begin seeing more of Chiyu, it seems!
