Tonari is surely taking my expectations of a rom-com and turning them upside down!
It's a refreshing take on the tried and true method of a romantic comedy; most of them take the entire season to resolve themselves, yet thanks to Mizutani (or Mitty, as I may start calling her) and her blunt ways, we've got a wholehearted confession in the third episode. And the twist comes from Haru - while he loves her, he doesn't think he's in love with her. However, seeing how he's in tune with Mizutani's feelings and thoughts, coupled with his jealous actions earlier in the episode, I would say he's more in love with her than he thinks. Whatever the reason for his rejection, I'm glad to see Mizutani bounce back and not give up.
